LEGO Build-a-Minifigure (2026): Halloween Haul or Heartbreak?

Usually, September means a fresh batch of these little guys, and this year is no different. Three new characters are ready to haunt your LEGO Store's BAM stations. Are they worth the candy money? The BAM strategy is simple: get you into the LEGO Store. You pick a hairpiece, a head, a torso, legs, and an accessory. For the Halloween 2026 wave, we get Frankenstein's Monster, a Werewolf Costume Girl, and a Zombie Girl. They come in those new eco-friendly cardboard boxes, which is a nice touch, though some stores might still pack them themselves. The price point is US$9.99, which isn't exactly pocket change for three minifigures.

First up, Frankenstein's Monster. This version ditches the molded head we've seen before, opting for a printed face. It works, with bolts on the sides and a lightning print. The tattered jacket detail is good, especially the candy corn sticking out of the breast pocket. It’s a solid interpretation, even without the molded head.

Then there's the Werewolf Costume Girl. This one feels like the standout of the trio. The recolored wolf head is a useful piece, and the torso design is fantastic – fur details and candy spilling out of pockets. It perfectly captures the trick-or-treater vibe. My only quibble is the accessory: a spider. A trick-or-treat bucket, especially a Jack o' Lantern one, would have elevated this to perfection. A minor miss on an otherwise great minifigure.

Finally, the Zombie Girl. Always good to see more zombies. She sports a tattered dark red top and a classic zombie face. The printed dress skirt piece is missing, which is a shame. While an unprinted skirt offers versatility for the BAM station, it feels like a missed opportunity for a more detailed minifigure.

These BAM exclusives are designed to draw you in, and they do a decent job. The Halloween theme is always popular, and these figures fit right in. However, at US$9.99 for three customisable figures, the value proposition is always a bit iffy. You're paying for the customisation and the exclusivity, not necessarily a massive piece count.
