Squirrels Strike Back in Awesome Spaceship MOC!

The squirrels are taking over. Forget the birds of prey; Oliver Barrell has unleashed a squirrel-powered spaceship that’s frankly nuts. It’s a MOC, meaning it’s not an official LEGO set you can buy off the shelf, but the design is so good it’s got us dreaming of what could be. The shaping around the cockpit and the tapering design of the ship is genuinely impressive. Imagine this thing soaring through the galaxy, piloted by an army of determined rodents.

While this particular spaceship isn't a retail release, it sparks the imagination. We've seen LEGO tackle animals and vehicles separately, but a squirrel piloting a spaceship? That’s a MOC concept that deserves wider attention. It’s the kind of creative build that makes you want to dig out your own brick collection and see what you can create. The sheer audacity of the concept, combined with the execution, makes it a standout. It really makes you wonder what other unlikely heroes could be getting their own custom starships. Maybe a badger in a battle cruiser? Or a family of hedgehogs in a fleet of fighters? The possibilities are endless when you combine determined wildlife with interstellar travel.

This MOC is a reminder that the LEGO community is a constant source of innovation. Dedicated builders like Oliver Barrell push the boundaries of what’s possible with plastic bricks, creating designs that are both technically brilliant and wonderfully imaginative. While we can’t get our hands on this exact build, it serves as inspiration for us all. The detail in the shaping and the overall concept are top-notch. It’s the kind of build that makes you stop and say, "Wow, I wish that was real." The squirrels fighting back against their natural predators, armed with a custom-built spacecraft, is a narrative we can all get behind. It’s a bold statement from the rodent world, and we’re here for it.

If this were officially released, expect the pricing to be a significant hurdle. Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra will be the stores to watch for any potential official sets inspired by this MOC, though availability is unlikely. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch if it ever materializes. This is not an impulse buy, but it would be an investment comparable to 15 months of Netflix Premium. On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.
