New Wednesday LEGO Sets Announced, But When Will They Land in India?

LEGO has finally decided to grace us with some Wednesday-themed sets. After what feels like an eternity of waiting, two new additions are dropping just in time for Halloween. We're talking about the 76787 Wednesday Backpack and the 890-piece 76788 Nevermore Academy. The latter is particularly exciting as it includes the first-ever Wednesday minifigure, alongside some printed statue figures for the microscale school.

The Wednesday Backpack set comes with 401 pieces and features Wednesday and Thing. The Nevermore Academy set, at 890 pieces, includes Wednesday and Enid as statue figures. Both sets are scheduled for a global release on October 1st. Brickset reports the prices as £34.99 for the backpack and £59.99 for the academy.

Now, the crucial question for us: when do these arrive in India, and at what cost? Given that these are brand new announcements, there's no official Indian pricing or release date yet. We can estimate based on the UK prices, but it's always a gamble. The backpack at £34.99 (around ₹3,700) and the academy at £59.99 (around ₹6,300) are not insignificant investments.

Expect a 4–6 week delay from the October 1st global launch for both MyBrickHouse and Toycra to stock these. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

While the inclusion of a Wednesday minifigure is a win, some fans on Brickset are already lamenting the lack of an Enid minifigure in the Nevermore Academy set. Others are hoping LEGO continues to explore microscale builds for various themes, seeing potential for epic crossovers. It's a mixed bag for fans, but at least LEGO is finally dipping its toes into this popular IP. We'll keep an eye out for official Indian pricing and availability, but don't hold your breath for a simultaneous release.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
