LEGO News: X-Files, SpongeBob, Klimt, Star Trek & More Revealed This Week

Brickset dropped their weekly roundup, and it’s a busy one for LEGO fans. Several major themes saw new sets revealed, giving us plenty to talk about, and even more to add to our ever-growing wishlists.

The headline grabbers this week include the long-awaited LEGO Ideas X-Files set (21369). This one’s been a fan favourite for ages, and it’s finally official. Alongside that, SpongeBob SquarePants is making a comeback with new sets, and LEGO Art is diving into Gustav Klimt’s iconic “The Kiss” with set 31221. If you’re more into classic sci-fi, the Star Trek: U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701 Bridge set has surfaced with official images, promising a detailed build for Trekkies.

Shrek fans, rejoice! Collectible Minifigures based on the ogre’s cinematic adventures have also been revealed. For the sports memorabilia collectors, there’s the LEGO World Cup Trophy - Champions Edition (4000351). Architecture buffs can look forward to the LEGO Architecture Tower Bridge (21067) getting official images, and Super Mario fans get a Donkey Kong Arcade set (72051) to add to their collection.

With so many reveals, it’s easy to get excited. However, for us in India, the real question is always about availability and price. None of these sets have confirmed Indian pricing or release dates yet. Based on the global reveals, we can expect a typical 4–6 week lag before they land on Indian store shelves, if they do at all. The X-Files set, in particular, has a dedicated following that will likely be eager to get their hands on it, but we’ll have to wait and see if LEGO India prioritizes it.

No Indian store prices are available yet for any of these sets. Considering the variety of themes and potential piece counts, expect a wide range of prices when they eventually appear.
