LEGO Lord of the Rings Mûmakil MOC: A Fan Build Worthy of Mordor?

Your wallet is probably breathing a sigh of relief. No new official LEGO set announcements today, but a fan build is making waves. Martin, also known as baron_von_brick, has unveiled a Mûmakil MOC that’s got everyone talking. If you’re a Lord of the Rings fan, you know the Mûmakil, or Oliphaunt, from The Two Towers. This isn't the first fan Mûmakil we've seen, but Martin’s version is something else.

The Brothers Brick featured this MOC, and the details are impressive. The build is remarkably smooth, with a polished look that’s hard to achieve with LEGO bricks. Martin’s used cloth elements for the tower and harness, adding a touch of elegance that really elevates the design. It makes the whole thing look less like a toy and more like a museum piece.

And the minifigures! A band of Haradrim soldiers are seated atop the Mûmakil, showcasing a fantastic array of minifigure heads and accessories. It’s a small detail, but it brings the entire scene to life, giving us a closer look at the variety of parts that can be used to create a lively army. This MOC is a reminder of the incredible creativity within the LEGO community.

While there's no official set number or price for this masterpiece, the discussion around it often links back to the 10307 Eiffel Tower or the 10179 Millennium Falcon – sets that pushed the boundaries of scale and detail. It shows the ambition of fan builds and what’s possible when builders go beyond the standard retail sets.

No Indian store prices are available for this MOC, as it's a fan creation and not an official LEGO release. If a similar scale set were to be released by LEGO India, expect it to cost well over ₹50,000. That's enough to fund a small expedition to Mordor. MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the stores to watch for official LEGO releases. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

This MOC is proof of the passion of LEGO builders and fans of the Lord of the Rings. It makes you wonder if LEGO themselves are taking notes for a future official release. For now, it’s a beautiful piece of fan art that’s definitely worth admiring. Keep building, keep dreaming... And don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
