LEGO Ideas Reveals 21373 Downton Abbey: Prepare Your Wallet

LEGO’s crowd-sourcing Ideas platform keeps churning out the unexpected, and the latest is a big one. After the success of the X-Files and the upcoming Wallace & Gromit, get ready to build the grand aristocratic world of Downton Abbey. Set number 21373, officially revealed today, brings the iconic Highclere Castle to brick form. This isn't a small build; it packs a hefty 4,711 pieces.

The set focuses on capturing the detailed architecture of the stately home, both upstairs and downstairs. You’ll be able to construct recognisable rooms like the dining room, main hall, library, kitchen, and servants’ hall. The top level is designed to be removable, allowing for a closer look at the meticulously recreated interiors. To populate this grand estate, the set includes 13 minifigures representing characters from Season 6 of the TV series. It sounds like a deep dive for fans, complete with exterior details like a cedar tree and bench for that perfect display piece.

The official release date is October 1st. For those in the US, it's priced at US$349.99. That's a significant investment for any LEGO fan, especially with the current exchange rates. The LEGO Builder app will, of course, be there to guide you through the 4,711 steps. This set is clearly aimed at adult fans, with an 18+ age recommendation, and is positioned as a rewarding creative challenge and a sophisticated piece of home décor. It also promises to be a crafty gift idea for anyone devoted to the Downton Abbey universe and architectural models.

However, for us here in India, the situation is less clear. There are no official Indian store prices or MRPs available yet. Based on the US retail price of US$349.99, and factoring in typical import duties and retailer markups, we're looking at a substantial cost.

Neither MyBrickHouse nor Toycra have listed this set yet, and it is expected to be available only via import channels for the foreseeable future. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

Given the lack of official Indian retail availability and the high estimated cost, this is one for the dedicated fans who are willing to go the extra mile to import it.

On that bombshell, it's time to say goodbye. I'll see you on the next one. Bubyee.

Verdict: IMPORT ONLY. Not in Indian stores — grey market or wait.

Updated 1 Oct 2026: estimated price removed; official Indian pricing not yet announced.
