LEGO GWPs Return: Spider-Man vs. Anti-Venom Heist and More Available Now

LEGO has dropped some new gifts-with-purchase, and a couple of familiar faces are back for a limited time. If you missed out on these promotional sets previously, now's your chance to snag them. Just remember, these GWPs are only available while stocks last or until July 31st.

First up is the 30725 Spider-Man vs. Anti-Venom Heist set. This Marvel Super Heroes polybag is free with qualifying purchases of £35 / US$40 / €40 or more across DC Comics Super Heroes, Jurassic World, and Marvel Super Heroes themes. It's a decent little freebie if you were planning on picking up any of those sets anyway.

Also available is the 5010927 Straw Topper Set, which comes free with purchases totalling £60 / US$65 / €65 or more. This GWP applies to a range of themes, including Botanicals, Friends, Creator, Disney, Harry Potter, Wednesday, and Wicked. There's been some debate online about the environmental implications of plastic straw toppers, but LEGO clarifies these are reusable and come with a cleaning brush, distinguishing them from banned single-use plastics.

The big news for some fans might be the return of 40917 The Darksaber. This iconic accessory from The Mandalorian is back, but with a specific condition: it's free only with the purchase of 75442 The Mandalorian's N-1 Starfighter. This is a targeted offer, so if you've had your eye on that specific ship, now might be the time to pull the trigger.

Given these are freebies, there isn't really an "Indian price" to discuss. However, the threshold amounts mean you'll need to spend a significant sum to qualify. For the Spider-Man set, that's around ₹4,200, and for the Straw Topper Set, it's closer to ₹7,200, based on current conversion rates. That's quite a bit to spend for a small plastic bonus.

When these offers eventually land in India, which is usually 4-6 weeks after the global launch, expect the minimum spend to translate to a substantial chunk of your monthly budget. That's enough for about 15 kg of good quality Alphonso mangoes or a couple of months of a premium streaming subscription. MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the primary retailers to watch for official LEGO releases and promotions in India. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

These GWPs are a classic LEGO move to drive sales during slower periods. While some fans are understandably frustrated by the "comeback" nature of some offers, it does provide a second chance for those who missed out. Just be sure to check the exact spending requirements and theme eligibility before adding to your cart. It's a good time to be a Marvel or DC fan, provided you were planning to spend anyway.
