LEGO Gargoyles MOC: Your Wallet Is Already Sweating

This MOC is huge. Like, truly gargantuan. Matt Margini has built a diorama featuring enormous grey gargoyles, and frankly, it’s giving us wallet anxiety. No set number, no official release, just pure, pure LEGO artistry that makes you want it immediately.

The centrepiece is a massive, grinning gargoyle that looks like it’s holding up the world. Below it, a tiny adventurer is shown, suggesting some kind of epic quest or trial. Four smaller gargoyles flank the main statue, hinting at more challenges.

The diorama is built mostly with grey bricks, both old and new shades. Margini has sculpted statues representing wisdom, wit, woe, and wrath. The detail on these is apparently incredible, with some clever part usage that fans will appreciate. The whole thing is set against a cathedral backdrop. It’s proof of how much you can achieve with LEGO bricks, especially when you’re not constrained by official set themes or piece counts.

This is the kind of build that makes you question your life choices. Do you really need that new smartphone, or could you, perhaps, spend that money on… well, not this, because it’s not for sale. But the dream is there. It’s the kind of creation that sparks joy and also a deep, existential dread about the sheer amount of plastic brick potential out there that we can’t actually buy.

If this were officially released as a LEGO set, expect the price to be eye-watering.
