LEGO Botanical Battle Pack? Mini Bonsai Trees Get a MOC Makeover

LEGO's Botanical Collection is known for its elegant display pieces, but a recent article from BrickNerd has thrown a curveball, suggesting a new use for the Mini Bonsai Trees set (10373). Apparently, you can turn these delicate desk ornaments into "tree battle packs" for your minifigure-scale creations. This isn't about new sets being announced; it's about creative repurposing of existing ones.

The idea is to take the components from the Mini Bonsai Trees and use them to build custom trees that fit perfectly into a minifigure-scale environment. Think of it as a DIY tree-building kit within a LEGO set. The BrickNerd article details how to achieve this transformation, effectively suggesting that if you’re building a larger MOC that requires trees, this Botanical set could be a surprisingly effective source of foliage and trunks. It’s a clever way to approach set usage, moving beyond the intended display purpose.

This concept highlights a growing trend in the LEGO community: maximizing the utility of sets. Instead of just building what’s on the box, fans are increasingly looking for ways to integrate sets into larger custom builds or to use their parts for entirely new creations. The Mini Bonsai Trees, with their naturalistic elements, are a prime candidate for this kind of modification. It’s a reminder that sometimes the most exciting LEGO experiences come from outside the instruction booklet.

While this isn't a new product launch, it’s an interesting development for builders looking for unique ways to enhance their MOCs. The ability to create custom trees that are perfectly scaled for minifigures without needing to source individual bricks from BrickLink is a compelling proposition. It opens up possibilities for dioramas, city builds, or even nature-themed scenes.

The LEGO Mini Bonsai Trees (10373) is not yet officially available in India. It’s now sold in India; today’s price is on its set page. MyBrickHouse and Toycra are the stores to watch for its eventual arrival. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch.

This creative application of the Botanical Collection shows the versatility of LEGO bricks. It’s a good example of how the community can find new life and purpose in existing sets, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. For those already owning the set, it’s an invitation to experiment. For those considering a purchase, it adds another layer of potential value beyond its intended display function. Keep building, keep dreaming... And don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

On that bombshell, bubyee.

Correction (3 October 2026): we removed a US price, and any rupee figure worked out from it, because it isn't the Indian price.
