LEGO 50090 LEGOLAND Park Adventure: An Exclusive Coming February

Your wallet is probably already braced for impact. LEGO has revealed next year's LEGOLAND Exclusive set, 50090 LEGOLAND Park Adventure, and it comes with a US$109.99 price tag. That’s a lot of rupees, even before we figure out the Indian pricing.

This 1,578-piece set, officially launching in February, will be available exclusively at LEGOLAND Parks. The source mentions collectors of the 6-scale figures might be a bit miffed about the exclusivity, and frankly, so are we. Finding these sets outside the parks is always a challenge, turning a potential purchase into a full-blown treasure hunt.

Early reactions from the LEGO Creator Summit are mixed. Some fans find the colours unappealing and the base looking unfinished, with much of the piece count dedicated to a large figure. Others see it as a step up from previous years, appreciating the inclusion of a working roller coaster. There’s debate whether this is truly for kids or more for the collectors who will likely extract the large figure and find the remaining build somewhat lacking.

The theme itself seems to be a point of contention. Beyond "a big minifigure with a roller coaster and vendor stands," the purpose is unclear to some. It feels like a rehash of older LEGOLAND sets, particularly the original big minifigure with a simpler display. The exclusivity, while understandable given the LEGOLAND branding, still stings when compared to the more universally appealing pirate captain exclusive from before. This one at least promises to be at a handful of locations rather than just one.

We don't have an official Indian price or release date yet. MyBrickHouse and Toycra will be the stores to watch for this, but expect a 4–6 week lag from the global February launch. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500.

The set’s design, particularly the integration of the large figure with the park environment, seems to be the main sticking point. Whether it’s a worthwhile addition to your collection will likely depend on your tolerance for exclusive sets and your affection for oversized LEGO figures. For now, it's a case of wait and see for the Indian market.

Verdict: WAIT — check prices at MyBrickHouse and Toycra before pulling the trigger.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
