Dragon Ball, Sagrada Familia, and More Hit LEGO Shelves – Wallet Watch Activated

The LEGO Group has unleashed a fresh wave of sets, and as always, our wallets are bracing for impact. A massive Sagrada Familia, a sprawling Venetian Neighbourhood, and the debut Dragon Ball set are now available, alongside a smaller, more budget-friendly Cosy Plants set. For those who spend big, there are even gifts with purchase – a Build, Paint and Play set and a Venetian Water Taxi for specific purchases.

The headline grabber is undoubtedly the Dragon Ball: Shenron and Goku set. This marks the franchise's first official LEGO appearance, a move that will have fans of the anime scrambling. While the dragon itself is described as beautifully crafted, early chatter suggests the building experience might lean towards repetitive, with many small segments of the serpentine dragon requiring construction. It’s a trade-off many nostalgic adult fans might accept, but it’s worth noting if you value a dynamic build process.

For the architecture fans, the Sagrada Familia set is now available. Coming in with a staggering piece count, it's being touted as the largest ever. This is one for serious display collectors. The Venetian Neighbourhood also lands today, promising intricate details and a significant build. Both these sets are substantial investments, and their availability might fluctuate.

The Cosy Plants set offers a more accessible entry point, priced considerably lower. It’s a good option for those looking to add some greenery to their display without a major financial commitment.

Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra are the stores to watch. Code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch. This could easily cost as much as a decent used scooter, if not more.

With these major releases, especially the Dragon Ball debut and the colossal Sagrada Familia, LEGO is clearly targeting both established fandoms and those who appreciate grand-scale models. The gift with purchase offers are a nice bonus, but the core appeal lies in these new thematic expansions. It’s a busy day for LEGO collectors, and the Indian market will be watching closely for local pricing and availability.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
