BuWizz 4.0 Ultra: The Power-Up for Your LEGO Creations, Kickstarter Launched

Your wallet might not be screaming just yet, but your LEGO Technic creations are about to get a serious upgrade. BuWizz, the rechargeable Bluetooth controller that breathes life into motorised LEGO models, is back with its fourth iteration, BuWizz 4.0 Ultra. It’s launched on Kickstarter, promising more power, more precision, and even the ability to make your models fly.

Ten years after the original BuWizz brick first hit Kickstarter, the team is back with a product built for the serious builder. This isn't just about making a car go faster; it's about bridging the gap between LEGO's older Power Functions system and the newer Powered UP components. BuWizz 4.0 Ultra aims to consolidate both, offering three dedicated Power Functions ports and one switchable port that can handle either Power Functions or Powered UP. This means you can finally mix and match your old and new LEGO motors, a godsend for anyone who's invested heavily in both ecosystems.

The company claims this new brick can power models that fly, thanks to an integrated programmable gyro and optical fibre ports with built-in LEDs. They even boast a 60 km/h speed record set with a LEGO vehicle powered by BuWizz. For those who prefer smaller builds, there's a new BuWizz Micro Motor designed for compact models. The integrated lighting solution sounds particularly neat, eliminating the need for separate lighting kits and extra wiring. You can program the four optical fibre ports for headlights, brake lights, or even custom effects.

While LEGO has largely left the remote control space to third-party solutions, BuWizz has carved out a niche for itself. Previous versions have powered everything from record-breaking speed vehicles to life-size go-karts and skateboards made entirely of LEGO bricks, capable of carrying up to 110 kg. The BuWizz 4.0 Ultra looks set to continue that legacy, offering a robust and versatile alternative for anyone looking to push the boundaries of what their LEGO creations can do. Specific pricing and availability for India are yet to be announced, but this Kickstarter launch means early adopters will likely get a better deal.

No Indian store prices yet. Official Indian pricing hasn't been announced yet. LEGO.in and Toycra are the stores to watch — code ABHINAV12 takes 12% off full-price sets at Toycra, minimum order ₹500. Expect a 4–6 week lag from global launch. If this were officially sold in India, it would cost roughly the same as 18 months of Netflix — assuming LEGO India's usual enthusiasm for your wallet. Keep building, keep dreaming... and don't let your wallet see your LEGO wishlist.

On that bombshell, bubyee.
